LEN decision - Mike Cavic is suspended...
M.Cavic
(Eindhoven, NED) - According to the final LEN decision that came yesterday after the 2-hour "investigation" by the officials of the LEN,  the Serbia's best swimmer is suspended for any other participation in the European Championships in Eindhoven. Mike Cavic, the Euro record holder in 50-m Fly (23.11 - set on Wednesday) and Gold medalist, cannot continue the Euro championships. The reason - the inscription on his T-shirt "Kosovo is Serbia" which has been recognized as the  "political message" in violation of the LEN Guidelines for Safety and Security at LEN Events. The Serbian swimming association has to pay 7,000 euro bearing the costs of the LEN Panel...

Swim Star Web Portal as a media that covers swimming sport for more then 10 years, not only in the country, but also the wide region of the SE Europe as well as all across the continent, expresses the open protest... Several crutial questions have to be sent to the European swim bodies anyway. Did the Cyrilic words show any genocide messages? Can anyone oppose Cavic's patriotic fillings? What is the Kosovo? Where is Kosovo? Is that sentence the political message or just simply the truth? Who is the quickest European athlete in 50 fly? The doubtless win in 50 fly is earned in the pool by the Serb swim star Mike Cavic, not by the "political" and any other aids...
