Under the patronage of Cacak Sport Center, Swimming club 'Cacak' and the Assembly of the town of Cacak, Serbia

The 7th edition of the most popular open water event “Cacak Mini Marathon 2007” is concluded successfully on August 02 at the marvelous gorge of the Ovcar-Kablar on the Medjuvrsje Lake formed by the Zapadna  Morava River near the Monastery St.Nikolje. Splendid weather gathered this year more then 45 competitors of different ages. At the distance of 2,100 m (from the Monastery St.Nikolje to the bridge in the Ovcar Banja), Petar Kostic (1989), the best mid & long distance swimmer of Swim Club Partizan, Belgrade took gold for the second time. His marathon record for 2006 stays unchanged. In the female concurrence, Dejana Mikasinovic (SC Partizan) was the best with the time of 30:38.12... The 7th edition of the popular open water race “Cacak Mini Marathon 2007” is going to be held on August 02 at the distance of 2.1 km. Mr. Dragan Savkovic, Marathon Director invites you to come to Ovcar Banja Spa at the marvelous gorge of the Ovcar-Kablar at the lake formed by the Z. Morava River near the Monastery St.Nikolje. The Run Fan will also be held at the distance of 500 m dedicated to the youth category swimmers.  --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is expected that more then 50 competitors will take part in the main event. Prof. Dragan Savkovic, the Marathon Director, the chief board of the Cacak Sport Center and the Tourist organization of Cacak, Assembly of the town of Cacak and "Cacak" Swimming Club invite all participants from the wide Region of the Balkan as well as other European countries to come to this open water swimming event. The organizer has announced that the reward fund is definitely assured, and that the prize for winners (both in men and women concurrence), beside the worthy Cacak marathon Trophy will be also consiged in cash.

Vec tradicionalno, po sedmi put, na veliki sveti srpski praznik Sv. Iliju (2. Avgusta 2007.god.), Medjunarodna Ilindanska plivacka manifestacija “Mini maraton Cacak 2006” odrzce se u idealnim uslovima u jednom od najlepsih i najduhovnijih krajolika centralne Srbije, u Ovcarsko-Kablarskoj klisuri, na reci Zapadna Morava. Od manastira Sv.Nikolje (gde ce biti start) pa uzvodno do mosta u centru Ovcar Banje, bice odrzane dve trke: 'Trka zadovoljstva' na distanci od 500 m za mlajde (pionirske) kategorije i tradicionalna Maratonska trka na distaci od 2100 m.  Ucesce za ovogodisnju manifestaciju najavilo je preko 60 takmicara svih uzrasnih kategorija. Ovo je dobrodoslica svim plivackim poklonicima u Ovcar Banju na Sv. Iliju... Ocekuju vas, kao i ranije, vasi sportski prijatelji iz Cacka !
