| (Monterrey,
MEX) - The last session 12 of the 2nd World Junior Championships in Monterrey
concluded tonight in Mexico. Many fans, supporters and adorers of Caba
Siladji (1990), not only from Serbia but also the wider Region of this
part of Europe, expected the final score in the men's 50-m breaststroke.
As he was entered with the best seed time (new World Junior Record 28.42)
from the Semi Finals, Gold medal was very near his hand. And Caba Siladji,
the best junior breastroker of Serbia ever captured Silver with the time
of 28.38, just 1/100 behind the winner. Serbia brings 4 medals from Mexico.

MEX) - The last day of the 2nd World Junior Championships Monterrey 2008,
started in the morning successfully for the 3 members of the Serbian team.
Ivan
Kopas (SC Novi Sad) swam out 200 back with the time of 2:06.51 (LBT)
and was ranked 20th of 45 competitors. In the women's 200 Breastroke,
Jovana
Bogdanovic (SC Beograd) touched 16th of 28 participants with the time
of 2:38.91... At the end, Milica Ostojic (SC Beograd) who set the
new absolute national standard in 400-m free (2 days ago), this morning
in 200 free touched the wall as 10th of 52 competitors with the time of
2:03.64 (new NREC). The Serbian Squad is now waiting for the Siladji's

| Again huge
happiness has arrived the Serbian squad in Monterrey on Saturday (Day-5)
of the FINA World Junior Championships in Monterrey. In the men's 50 Fly
Final, Ivan Lendjer repeated (just one hundred better then in the
yesterday's semis) and touched the wall as the 2nd with the time of 23.97
(behind Daniel Bell from New Zealand -23.61 WJR and in front of Belarus
Pavel Sankovich - 24.26)...That is Lendjer's second silver medal in Monterrey
and the new European Junior Record. Caba Siladji in the men's
50 Breast semis, touched 1st with the new World Junior Champs Record (28.42)
while he earned the central lane 4 for the tomorrow's final. Women's
Relay (Petrovic, Vukanovic, Bogdanovic, Ostojic) in 4x 100 free touched

(LBT) and was ranked the 24th of 45 participants. Andjelka Petrovic
(SC Valis) the women's 50 Free swam out worthy with the time of 27.14 and
was ranked 22nd of 59 swimmers... However, the "cream on cake" put down

the only one swimmer from Serbia took part in the men's 50 Fly semi finals
- Ivan Lendjer who swam it out as 2nd with the time of 23.98
and caught a central lane for tomorrow's Final.. Daniel Bell (NZL) broke
the Lendjer's morning WJR with the time of 23.77. After Day-4, the champs
team standing is as follows: 1/ United States (387.5 pts.); 2/ Russia (256
pts.); 3/Japan (240 pts.)... On-Line

Junior record holder, the World vice-champion (in 100 fly), Ivan Lendjer

| Highly expected,
this evening of the Day-3 of the World Junior Championships in Monterrey,
brought many happiness not only to the Serbian team by the pool deck of
the Nuevo Leon Aquatic Center, but also to the swim adorers round the Western
Balkans and especially the town of Zrenjanin, Serbia. Two years later,
since he has won the Gold medal in 'his' 100 Fly discipline in the previous
FINA Junior Champs - Rio 2006, the best Serbian junior swimmer ever Ivan
Lendjer (SC Proleter) succeeded to repeat the top world swimming level.
This evening Ivan captured the Silver Medal in 100 Fly (52.62) better then
the old CR. This time is better then the "A" Olympic Standard for Beijing
2008.. More new CRs have been set this evening in Monterrey: two Italians
Silvia Di Pietro in 50 Fly (26.83) and Luca Leonardi in 50 Free (22.66);
Zuzana Mazurek (POL) in 200 back (2:12.56); Herdeen Herman (RSA) in 800
free (8:01.77), etc. |

swimmers of the Serbian squad took part in the events. In the women's 50
Fly qualification rounds, Tijana Vukanovic (1992) swam out her LBT
(0:28.93) and was ranked 22nd of 53 participants. In this event Silvia
Di Pietro (ITA) set the new CR with the time of 0:26.99. In the men's 50
Back, Ivan Kopas (1990) was ranked 32nd of 61 competitors with the
time of 0:28.04 (equaled his LBT)... In the women's 100 Breast Jovana
Bogdanovic (1992) swam out her LBT with the time of 1:14.55 and
was ranked 22nd of 37 paricipants. In this event, Australia's Samantha
Marshall set the new CR (1:09.20).... |

in the evening Semis and Finals, Serbian team as well as the complete swim
audience in the nation, expected with the highest interest... And the top
men's Serbian couple, the pearls of Prof. Dejan Pejinovic, really
showed their best. In 100m Breast Final Caba Siladji swam
out to the 3rd position with the LBT of 1:02.57. In
the 100 Fly Semi Finals Ivan Lendjer
succeeded to repeat the achievement
from the morning heats, now he was ranked 3rd of 16 participants with the
time of 0:53.33 which will provide him to start from the lane 3 in tomorrow's

the time of 1:03.10... Ivan Kopas in the men's 100-m Back set his

MEX) - As the time difference (BEG-MEX) is 7 hours, according to the SE
time, the qualifying rounds of the Day-1 will be held on 16:30 Tuesday...
In the afternoon local time 17:00 an Opening of the Championships will
be inaugurated by the Aquatic Olympic Center of the UANL University, with
the presence of the governor of the NL State, José Nativity González
Even, the rector of UANL, José Antonio González, the executive
heads of the local and the national sport. Besides them, the president
of the FINA Mustapha Larfaoui with Javier Careaga, president of the Mexican
Swimming will be presented. |

| While seeing the last evening training,
Javier
Careaga president of the Mexican Swimming Federation expressed again
the hopes of himself and the nation for entering a few finals of
the domestic athletes Ramiro Ramírez and Lourdes Villaseñor.
The Head coach of the Italian selection - the team
winner of the previous Champs in RIO 2008, Walter Bolognani and
the coach of the Spanish selection Yordi Purple, marked the
team of the United States as the rival with the best chance to conquer
the 2nd World Junior Championships, as well as the teams of Australia and
China. |

the UANL. For the pleasant media activities, the center of press was established
in which the accredited journalists, photo and broadcast reporters will

30 computer stations completely equipped with on-line Internet, telephone,
fax and other services, etc. |

Leon region, shows that all our athletes are coming into the warming-up
activities... In spite the long journey from Belgrade via London and some
fatigue fillings after the day one are behind of them, the moral of our

| According to latest FINA info, tomorrow
the 2nd FINA World Junior Swimming Championships 2008 commence in Monterrey
will gathered the 588 young stars from 69 countries. This is a marked increase
from the attendees at the first edition of the FINA Junior championships
(held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - August, 2006), where 480 youth athletes
from 61 countries took part in the events. |

MEX) - Prior to the start of FINA World Junior Swimming Championship the
press conference was opened by the President of the Mexican Swimming Federation
Javier
Careaga and Melody Falco, the Director of the Sports and Physical Culture
State Institute of Nuevo Leon. Javier Careaga explained: "This kind of
the event is not easy to organize, we thank Nuevo Leon’s government, the
Sports and Physical Culture State Institute and the Iniversity for making
this come true and for helping us work in the strategy for the new Olympic
Cycle”. |

registration period for the champs is over, Careaga said that the
US team had an extension because at this moment they are having their classification
competition (the US trials) for the Olympic Games. “Including the US we
