39th edition of the traditional Jarak-Sabac Marathon 2008 concluded
successfully at the distance of 11 km (over the aquatorium of the Sava
River near the town of Sabac, Serbia.. More then 1,500 spectators at the
beach of the 'Old Tower' watched the main marathon race as well as all
others (Memorial Ljupce Kostic 4,5 km, Mini marathon (1,200 m) and the
two 'Bubamara' events for the yougest participants... Final ranking: 1/
Rok Kerin (Slovenia) - 1:40:50; 2/ Jasmin Gracanin (Serbia,
Novi Pazar) - 1:58:43 3/ Jugoslav Milutinovic (SC Swim Star 2000,
Serbia) - 2:00:10., 4/ Martin Rankovski (Macedonia), 5/ Emanuel
Ristovski (Macedonia).. In the Lupce Kostic Memorial (4.5 k), rank
is as follows: 1/ Nebojsa Grujic (WP Sabac, Serbia), 2/ Nemanja Janjic
(Sabac, Serbia), 3/ Darko Banovski (Macedonia)... Among women, the winner
was 1/ Samra Crnovrscanin (Novi Pazar, Serbia). In the Mini marathon,
ranks is as follows: 1/ Jelena Paunovic (Sabac); 2/Isidora Kovacevic; 3/Mirela

The traditional Open Water Swimming
event in the town of Sabac as all 38 before will take place at the downstream
of the Sava River near Sabac on Sunday, August 03, 2008.
The Organizing Committee with Mr. Milorad Rajsic, ex-YU swimming
marathon legend as a Chairman have defined 4 separate races as follows:

Kalicanin of Serbia touched first (4th overall)... In the Memorial
Ljupce Kostic mini marathon (4.5 k) final rank is as follows: 1/Darko
Popacev (FYR Macedonia) - 0:41:08; 2/ Jasmin Gracanin (Serbia)-0:43:33;
3/ Aladin Sejfic (Serbia) - 0:43:40.. |

38. tradicionalni Jarak-Sabac maraton je uspesno zavrsen na distanci od
18.7 km od sela Jarak (Srem) do tvrdjave na Sabackoj strani... Vise od
1,000 posetilaca na gradskoj plazi (Stari Grad) u Sapcu, pozdravilo je
ucesnike glavne trke, ali isto tako i Memorijalne trke "Ljupce Kostic"),
te mini maratona i dve "Bubamare" namenjenih najmladjim plivacima. Konacan
skor maratona: 1/Igor Majcen (Slovenija) -2:25:15; 2/Rok Kerin
(Slovenija) - 2:26:01; 3/ Evgenij Popacev (Makedonija) - 2:29:19...
U zenskoj konkurenciji, Tijana Kalicanin (Paracin) stigla je prva
(u ukupnom plasmanu 4-ta)... U memorijalnoj trci "Ljupce Kostic" (na distanci
od 4.5 km) plasman je bio sledeci: 1/ Darko Popacev (Makedonija)-0:41:08;
2/ Jasmin Gracanin (Srbija)-0:43:33; 3/ Aladin Sejfic (Srbija)
