Another Marvelous  Jarak - Sabac Marathon - concluded (August 18, 2007)---------------------

38th edition of the traditional Jarak-Sabac Marathon 2007 is concluded successfully at the distance of 18.7 km (over the aquatorium of the Sava River near the town of Sabac, Serbia.. More then 1,000 spectators at the beach of 'Old Tower' watched the main marathon race as well as all others (Memorial Ljupce Kostic 4,5 k, Mini marathon 2 K and two 'Bubamara' events for the yougest participants... Final ranking: 1/Igor Majcen (Slovenia) -2:25:15; 2/Rok Kerin (Slovenia) - 2:26:01; 3/ Evgenij Popacev (FYR Macedonia) - 2:29:19... Among women, Tijana Kalicanin of Serbia touched first (4th overall)... Vise od 1,000 posetilaca na gradskoj plazi (Stari Grad) u Sapcu, pozdravilo je ucesnike glavne trke, ali i Memorijalne trke "Ljupce Kostic"), te mini maratona i dve "Bubamare" namenjenih najmladjim plivacima. Considering the very storm weather that has overflown all across the territory of Serbia, in the period from Friday (August 03) to Tuesday (August 06), the Marathon Director Milorad Rajsic - Rajsa, together with all sponsors and the Assembly of Sabac  canceled the event for August 04. Considering the very unpleasant information on the storm weather that is expected all across the territory of Serbia, got from at least 3 lead weather forecast companies, starting on Friday (August 03) to Tuesday (August 07), the Marathon Director Milorad Rajsic - Rajsa, together with all donors, sponsors and the Assembly of Sabac chose to cancel the Jarak Sabac Marathon 2007  (for August 04)... The new term of the Jarak-Sabac Marathon 2007 will be set on time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   Zbog veoma neprijatne informacije o izuzetno losem vremenu koje se ocekuje nad teritorijom citave Srbije, dobijenom od tri vodece kompanije za vremensku prognozu, a koje ce trajati u periodu od Petka (03 avgusta) do Utorka (07 avgusta), Direktor Maratona Milorad Rajsic, u saglasju sa sponzorima i pokroviteljem manifestacije SO Sabac, doneo je odluku da vec zakazani termin (04 avgust) odlozi do daljeg...
