- Day before the start of the 31st Olympic Games, organized by the
National Olympic committe of Serbia and the BRA organizers, the national
flag is lifted up on the stand in front of the SRB pavilion. Led
the ceremony, Serbian President Tomislav
Nikolic expressed the hopes for more medals
at this Games in comparasion to the previous one in London. Overall 103
athletes in 14 sport disciplines will compete and represent Serbia at
the Rio 2016 (45 women and 58 men). This will be the nation's fourth appearance

of Cacak, the 16th Ovcar-Kablar Marathon 2016 concluded

European OWS Championships 2016 in
Hoorn (NED). Three events were in the program: 5K, 10 K and 25 K (including
MIX). Final medals standing: ITA (7 medals),
FRA (4) and GBR (3). Due to the LEN points, team
ranking is as follows: 1/ITA (202 pts); 2/GER (116); 3/NED (101). From

record holder Anja Crevar in the W 200
IM ranked 3rd and earned the bronze medal (2:14.41) - her second one

concluded this weekend in the ITA capital, Serbian record holder Katarina
Kat Simonovic earned the 85th place at the SRB Olympic team for
the Rio Olympic Games 2016 (confirmed the NOC of Serbia today).
Second day of the Rome's meet. Simonovic broke the second national absolute
record, now in the W 200 freestyle (1:58,89 - better then the Olympic

Sunday afternon, the final Part-4 and the Balkan Junior
Swim Championships 2016 concluded successfully in the town of
Volos (GRE). In the Part-4, from the SRB swim team, Anja Crevar
took her 4th gold medal in the W 400 free (4:19.77) and the 5th one
in the W 400 IM (4:52.41), while Mila Medic
in the W 50 breast earned bronze (34.14). The final team rankings (overall):
1/ Greece (454.5
pts), 2/ Turkey (314); 3/ Romania (224.5); 4/Serbia

Morning events on the Day-2 of the Balkan Junior Champs 2016
included more new 7 disciplines. GRE swim team confirmed the leadership
at the Balkan. From the SRB swim team, two new medals were earned. Anja
Crevar picked up her 3rd gold medal overall, now in the W 200 fly
(2:16.37), while in the same event Vanja Murtin took bronze medal
(2:22.64). SRB W 4x100 free relay team picked up bronze (4:00.39).

Day-1 of the Balkan Junior Champs 2016
concluded with the second part of the tournament. Worthy swimming
could be seen. From the SRB team, five new medals were reached within
the afternoon part: A.Barna gold in the
M 100 free (50.75), while A.Bobar bronze
(51.97). In the W 200 IM A.Crevar took gold (2:18.88). In the M
1500 free N.Ratkov earned silver (15:54.29).
In the W 4x200 free relay, SRB caught bronze (8:36.44). After

-CCSALong Course Champs2016 took place at the University
of Georgia this past weekend (City of Athens, USA - Gabrielsen Natatorium).
Representing the UMBC university's team, SRB swimmer - student Nikola
Trajkovic went great. In the 4x200 m free relay his team places
2nd(6:34.21). In the M 400 m IM he placed 4th (3:55.80). UMBC won the
meet with 1,502 points, ahead of Incarnate Word with 1,281. Click up

SRB swimmers took part in the A- 10 Conference Champs 2016,
that were finished this weekend in Ohio. Representing the LaSalle University,
Dimitrije Mladenovic earned silver medal
in the M 200 yd. breast (1.59.24) while in the M 100yd. breast ranked
6th (55.39). Strahinja Stankovic in the M 50 yd. free concluded
14th (20.95) and 15th in the M 100yd. fly (50.29).

As part of the Un. of Findlay swimming team, Serbian swimmer Todo
Djurovic at the recent Gliac Conference Champs 2016 set two
new school records (in the M 100yd. breast 56.55 and M 400yd IM 3:58.18)
and caught two "B" standards for the NCAA Division II Swim &
Dive Championships 2016. He also contributed to the Oilers team in
the M4x100yd freestyle 3:09.12 and the M 200 IM 1:52.54).
