POL) - Day-4 of the European SC Champs in Szczecicn started in the
morning with the preliminaries of the last 8 events. 4 swimmers from the
SRB squad took part in the events. Miroslava Najdanovski earned
the SFs in the women's 50 free (25.26) as she placed 20th of 53 athletes.
In the M 200 free Radovan Siljevski ranked 24th (1:46.85), Velimir
Stjepanovic 40th (1:47.88), while Stefan Sorak placed 42nd (1:48.03).

the members of the SRB squad. In the M 50 breast Caba Siladji ranked

Stjepanovic placed 6th (of 38 athletes) in 1:53.85. Both athletes have
chances for the Euro Top 5 positions. Stefan Sorak, in the M 1500

Swimming Federation, this nice venue is constructed in less then 7 months.

- A total of 42 new championships records highlighted the third
edition of the FINA World Junior Swimming Championships, organised
in Lima (PER), from August 16-21, 2011. In a competition attended by 528
athletes (282 men and 246 women) from 58 nations. Final team ranking is
as follows: 1/ USA 22 presences in the podium (11 gold, 8 silver
and 3 bronze medals); 2/Japan with 19 (7+9+3) and 3/Canada
with 14 (4+5+5) medals. A total of 19 countries got at least one medal
in Lima.

Peru. On the Day-1 in the morning qualification, new CRs are set in the
M 100 breast by Akihiro Yamaguchi JPN who touched first in 1:02.00
and in the W 400 IM by Miyu Otsuka, JPN in 4:43.29. In the M 100
breast, two Serbian competitors went great. Nikola Trajkovic ranked
15th (1:04.71) and earned the SF, while Dejan Perisic placed 23rd

The swimming events will start on Sunday (July 24). As the Swim Star

of the Belgrade's new Swim Complex...(Exclusive)
After about ten months of the complete
reconstruction and redesigning, the Capital of Serbia will get soon a new
marvelous swimming complex. Two new Olympic pools (50 m long), the indoor
one (8 lanes) and the out door one in full accordance of the FINA
rules for the highest swimming events will be consigned to the domestic
aquatic associations, clubs, recreative and public. With the support of
the City of Belgrade and the City Commune Stari Grad, the swimming sport,
water polo, synchro and other water sports would get new chances for the

potencies. Among others, top competitors of this club are Milica Ostojic,
Sara Savovic, Anja Mioc, Masa Seferovic, etc. Few days ago BPK established

Sunday evening. This was the FINA official trial event for the Shanghai
and London... Among stars from RUS, BLR, TUR and others, two SRB pearls
Ivan Lendjer & Caba Siladji took part in this competition. On the last
day, Caba
Siladjiin the men's 100 breast earned top position in the final
(1:02.15) just 3/100 sec. less then in yesterday's SFs (1:02.12).

finished segments (4 parts) od the event, team ranking is as follows: 1/Slovenia
(35 gold, 33 silver, 18 bronze); 2/Croatia (27 G, 27 S, 21 B); 3/Serbia(10
G, 12 S, 33 B). The top achievements are set by Tjasa Oder SLO in
800 free (8:42.34) and Mihael Vukic CRO for the 50 fly (24.99).

is organizing. Representing his SH swim club, Mladen Tepavcevic,

took part in the men's breastroke events. In the 50 breast he earned silver
medal with a time of 30.27, while in the 100 breast he was ranked 4th (1:09.46).

of the international meet ZPK 2011 concluded successfully this past
week-end in Zagreb, Croatia. More then 250 competitors from SLO, SRB, BiH
and CRO took part in the events. New meet records were set by T.Smit,
SLO in W 200 IM (2:16.44), R.Siljevski, SRB in M 200 free (1:51.40)
and M.Todorovic, CRO in M 50 free (23.05). From Serbia, two swim

NZL) - At the present New Zealand Open Swim Champs 2011 that
is organizing in the town of Auckland on Apr.03-08, Serbian star Velimir
Stjepanovic, best junior, two times medalst at the Singapore 2010 Youth
Olympic Games, set the absolute NR in 200m fly (1:59.55) and two NJRs in
200m free (1:50.78) and 400m free (3:52.85). Among the domestic
stars, Lauren Boyle surprised even herself to smash a NR and qualify
for the World Champs on the opening night in the women's 400 free (4:07.61).

in Novi Sad, brought few worthy times. Due to the Fina pionts table, far
best is Caba Siladji (PRO) in the M 100 breast (59.92-899 pts.).

Lenjder (PRO) in the M 100 fly won (52.61 -869 pts). Minja Najdanovski
earned
gold in the W 50 free (25.24 - 839 pts.). Tijana Vukanovic (VOV)

(Belgrade, SRB) - 12-year old memories
on the famous 31st edition of the European Youth Swim Meeting Trento
1999 (Italy) wake up nowadays. Let us recall on those days. After the
first night of the awful extermination of Belgrade for the NATO aggression
on Yugoslavia (on March 24th, 1999), the brave couple of the popular Red
Star Swimming Club, Belgrade, Igor Rasula (swimmer) and Sergio
Filipovic (swim coach) succeeded to arrive to Trento and take part
in this great competition (in the previous century, that was the most popular
and respectable European youth meet dedicated to the younger swimmers).

The very first call for peace, is
sent to the world just on March 25th. For the great host and patience been
reached in Italy from the organizers, the Serbian swim couple (Igor and
Sergio) will always be thankful to the well-known Rari Nantes Trento

the Annual Awards Ceremony consigning acknowledgments to the top
swim persons in three official categories: Top swimmer in the last decade;
Best in 2010 and the Best Coach in 2010. As we have already announced the

Cup 2011 is organizing at the famous Sloterparkbad pool. More then
500 competitors from 94 teams (POL, AUT, GER, SWE, SM, ITA, UEA, ROU, SUI,
GBR and NED) take part in 3-day events. As part of the Hamilton Aquatics
(DUBAI),
Serbian junior record holder Velimir Stjepanovic had 3 races in
prelims. In the M 400 free he was ranked 4th (4:01.90), in the M 100 fly
(57.05) placed 6th, while in M 200 IM he finished as 16th (2:17.69).. Two
4th places were earned in finals: in 400 free (3:58.66) and in 100 fly

850 athletes from 95 teams have had chances to show their best. As part
of the Sun Devil Aquatics, Katarina picked up three silver medals: in 500yd
free 4:47.86, in 4x100yd free relay (3:24.61) and in 4x200yd free relay

USA) - Milica Ostojic (1991), Serbian record holder and Olympian,
in January moved to the USA and continues her career at the University
of San Diego, Calif., also her bachelor education. Just at her first event
in the USA, Milica won in the 500 yd. free (5:04.96) at the Valley Invitational
in Fresno, CA (Jan. 22). Last weekend at the Mountain Pacific Championships
(Feb 24-26) in Belmont Plaza, Milica helped the USD team to catch 4th position
(408 pts.). In 500 yd. free finals she was ranked 5th in a 4:56.97, in
the 2x200 free relay 7:34.17 she earned 4th position, while in 1,650 free

SRB) - Upon the jurisdiction of the PSCS (Swim Association of Central Serbia),
this past weekend in Potocac (25 m pool), the Round-1 of the Winter
SC Champs of Central Serbia 2011 concluded successfuly. The 225 athletes
(abs. junior & cadet) from 19 clubs-members of the PSCS took part in
the events. The worthiest results among males were set by L.Lekic(SC
Crnica) in 50 breast (30.01 - 693 pts.), A.Djordjevic (SC Jagodina
2000) in 50 free (23.86 - 692 pts.) and S.Ivanovic (SC St.Nikola)
in 100 IM (1:00.20 -653 pts.), while among females S.Ilic (SC St.Nikola)
in 200 free (2:12.72 - 635 pts.).. Results

and Y.Pioneers concluded successfuly. 261 athletes from 22 clubs-members
of the PSCS took part in the events. Due to the Fina piont table, the best
times were set by Sekul Sekulovic (97; SC Rasina) in 200 free (2:06.06-537
pts.) and Ksenija Jovanovic (99; SC Radnicki) in the 100 back (1:15.17-448

MNE) - The Montenegro Mimosa Cup 2011 concluded successfully on
Sunday by the competition pool of the Mediterranean Center in Igalo. The
spectacular battle between Nadja Higl (SRB) and Tanja Smid
(SLO) in the women's 200 breast got Serbian star in 2:25.71 (MR)
to 2:29.14. In other races, worthy swimming could also be seen - T.Vukanovic
(VNS)
set the MR in
the W 200 free (2:04.12); R.Siljevski (VNS) in M 100 free (50.23)
& in M fly (56.10). N.Trajkovic (PZR) in M 100 breast (1:05.76);

MNE) - The 16th edition of the LEN int'l meeting Montenegro
Mimosa 2011started Saturday with the Part-1 events. 27 clubs-teams
with 281 athletes (from ALB, BiH, CRO, Prishtina, SRB, SLO and MNE) take
part in 2-day events. Within the first disciplines few worthy times were

SRB) - In the interview for the Blic newspaper, Belgrade, Mr.Nemanja
Radovic, Deputy of the Secretary of Youth and Sport of Belgrade confirmed
the decision of the City Assembly to continue with supporting of the 58
sports associations in the Serbian Capital throughout 2011. The swimming
sport is included in the program, too. Outdoor Tasmajdan pool will get
balloon. The reconstructed Milan Gale Muskatirovic swim center at the Dorcol
will be opened in the next couple of weeks. So, the Belgrade swimming should

part of the National Junior team of Serbia is going to take part in the
upcoming int'l meet "Sarajevo
Aquatics 2011" (Feb 11-13) by the Otoka swim pool. Due to the plan
of preparation, seeing the EJC Belgrade 2011, this squad will try to check
out the present shape, after the winter prep that was realized in January.

the international meet Europe 2011 will be held. Place of the event:
Klisa Slana Bara 25-m pool. According to the list of entered participants,
about 380 competitors from 26 clubs (SLO, CRO, BiH, MNE and SRB) will take
part in the events. On Saturday, the official event will be held, while

SRB) - Due to the programs of the activities in the pre-Olympic year, the
Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Serbia assured funds dedicated
to the Serbian Swimming in the course of 2011. At the genuine ceremony
hosted by the PSS (the Serbian Swimming), Minister Snezana Samardzic-Markovic
and
Slobodan
Bokanic, President of the PSS signed the contract on funding the programs
of the swimming development in 2011. In his note for media and guests,
on behalf of the PSS and the swimming clubs in Serbia, President Bokanic
expressed his huge gratitude and satisfaction..

question "Who marked the SRB swim year 2010" has been arranged.
After 2 and a half weeks, 221 votes were arrived. According to the present
results review, Miroslava Najdanovski (1988), two times Olympian,
the Mediterranean Games 2009 and the World University Games 2009 medalist,
6th at the Eindhoven 2010, caught the first position (48.2 % or 107 votes)...
