(Szczecin, POL) - Day-4 of the European SC Champs in Szczecicn started in the morning with the preliminaries of the last 8 events. 4 swimmers from the SRB squad took part in the events. Representing ADN, Mike Cavic picked up two medals - in the 100 fly - bronze (52.69), while on the Day-3, silver medal in the 50 fly (23.93). (Lima, PER) - A total of 42 new championships records highlighted the third edition of the FINA World Junior Swimming Championships, organised in Lima (PER), from August 16-21, 2011. In a competition attended by 528 athletes (282 men and 246 women) from 58 nations. Final team ranking is as follows: 1/ USA 22 presences in the podium (11 gold, 8 silver and 3 bronze medals); 2/Japan with 19 (7+9+3) and 3/Canada with 14 (4+5+5) medals. A total of 19 countries got at least one medal in Lima.

On the Day-1 in the morning qualification, new CRs are set in the M 100 breast by Akihiro Yamaguchi JPN who touched first in 1:02.00 and in the W 400 IM by Miyu Otsuka, JPN in 4:43.29. In the M 100 breast, two Serbian competitors went great. Nikola Trajkovic ranked 15th (1:04.71) and earned the SF, while Dejan Perisic placed 23rd (1:05.95). Among the athletes from Serbia, Velimir Stjepanovic set the third best time in the M 200 fly (1:59.96) while in the M 100 free placed 2nd (50.38) with a great chances to earn the first medals for the domestic team. After about ten months of the complete reconstruction and redesigning, the Capital of Serbia will get soon a new marvelous swimming complex. Two new Olympic pools (50 m long), the indoor one (8 lanes) and the out door one in full accordance of the  FINA rules for the highest swimming events will be consigned to the domestic aquatic associations, clubs, recreative and public. With the support of the City of Belgrade and the City Commune Stari Grad, the swimming sport, water polo, synchro and other water sports would get new chances for the future development. Among the males, Janko Radmanovic (BPK) in the M 50 free (24.08 - 673 pts), while among females Anja Mioc (BPK) in the W 50 free (27.36 - 659 pts).Also were good Todo Djurovic (BEG) in the M 50 breast (30.70 - 648 pts.) and Sara Savovic (BPK) in the W 50 back (31.84 - 598 pts.).. (Reykjavik, ISL) - From Apr. 07-10 in Reykjavik, the 2011 Iceland National Chapionship is organizing. Representing his SH swim club, Mladen Tepavcevic, ex-Yu and ex-SRB national record holder and the Athens 2004 participant, took part in the men's breastroke events. In the 50 breast he earned silver medal with a time of 30.27, while in the 100 breast he was ranked 4th (1:09.46). (Eindhoven/Istanbul) - Two Serbian flyers, Olympians and swimmers among the best in the world on Saturday swam better then A cut in 100 fly and assured entrances for the London 2012 Olympics. Mike Cavic at the Eindhoven Swim Cup 2011 in the 100 fly finals finished in a 52.10 (silver), while Ivan Lendjer at the Turkish Open Championships 2011 earned top position in 100 fly semi finals  with the time of 52.29... In Istanbul Caba Siladji went great in the 100 m breast semi finals earning the top position in a 1:02.12... (Eindhoven, NED) - On the Day-1 of the Eindhoven 2011 int'l meeting in the Netherlands (LC pool) as part of the ADN swim project, Mike Cavic, SRB Olympic medalist and the World champion, in "his" men's 50 fly picked up a bronze medal with the time of 23.87 behind Dunford, KEN (23.78) and Verlinden, NED (23.81). (Istanbul, TUR) - The Turkish LC Nationals 2011 started Wednesday at the University Olympic pool in Istanbul (Apr.06-10). All best in the nation are entered. On the Champs Day-1representing Serbia, Ivan Lendjer ex-world junior champion and the ex-EU junior record holder set his best this year in the men's 50 fly (23.68), which helped him earn a ticket for the Shanghai 2011 World Champs... Lendjer is also going to swim in the 100 fly where he is entered with the time of 52.89. (Zagreb, CRO) - Organized by the Zagrebacki plivacki klub (ZPK), the new edition of the international meet ZPK 2011 concluded successfully this past week-end in Zagreb, Croatia. More then 250 competitors from SLO, SRB, BiH and CRO took part in the events. New meet records were set by T.Smit, SLO in W 200 IM (2:16.44), R.Siljevski, SRB in M 200 free (1:51.40) and M.Todorovic, CRO in M 50 free (23.05). From Serbia, two swim clubs participated: Vojvodina SC and BPK SC. J.Nikolovski took silver in the W 50 back (31.43), N.Simic named 3rd competitor of the meet for M 50 fly (24.50). (Auckland, NZL) - At the present New Zealand Open  Swim Champs 2011 that is organizing in the town of Auckland on Apr.03-08, Serbian star Velimir Stjepanovic, best junior, two times medalst at the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games, set the absolute NR in 200m fly (1:59.55) and two NJRs in 200m free (1:50.78) and 400m free (3:52.85).   Among the domestic stars, Lauren Boyle surprised even herself to smash a NR and qualify for the World Champs on the opening night in the women's 400 free (4:07.61).
