2016............................................................................................................................ Two
world
legends met in the Olympic village...
(Rio de
Janeiro, BRA) - Marvelous
contact has been held in the Rio 2016 village yesterday. American and
the
world swim superstar Michael Phelps plucked up his courage to
get
a picture taken with 12-time Grand Slam tennis champion Novak
Djokovic.
Phelps, the
owner of 22 Olympic
medals including 18 golds, is usually the man inspiring awe among his
fellow
athletes. But when he bumped into the Serbian star — who completed the
career Grand Slam at the French Open earlier this year — it was Phelps
who wanted to commemorate the moment. “I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s
Djokovic,”
Phelps said, adding, “You give each other the nod and the smile, and I
was like ‘I’m saying hi. I don’t care, I’m saying hi to him.’ “He’s
super-nice,
super-down to earth. Easy to talk to. It was something that was cool.
I’ve
watched so many of his matches on TV, he’s had a lot of epic ones,” the
swimming legend said.

(Uberlandia,
BRA) - Regarding the
chance for the pre-games training camps allowed by the organizers,
Serbian
stars Velimir Stjepanovic and Caba Siladji used to stay in the City of
Uberlândia - state of Minas Gerais (Southeast Region of Brazil).
Fantastic conditions for the alcimatization, latest actions and
producing
top brilliance prior to the start at the Aquatic Stadium in Rio De
Janeiro,
our athletes and the coaching staff use them in a quality way.
Uberlândia
is located 845

notable
of its natural attractions include its ecological parks, which,

add up to approximately 2.8 million square meters of green area. Among
many others, Serbian stars use to have preparations at the pools of the
Paraia Club. Founded in 1935, Praia Club has infrastructure for

2016............................................................................................................................ Unbelievable
conditions at the Rio Aquatics Stadium...
(Rio de
Janeiro, BRA) - The pool
is ready for the new world and the Olympic records. On April 08, the
organisers
of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro unveiled the Olympic
Aquatic
Stadium. The sports complex, which will host swimming and water polo,
has
been built using so called “nomadic architecture” techniques that will
allow it to be taken down and rebuilt into two smaller aquatic centres
after the Games would be over. Two pools are featured in the stadium -
one for competitions and one for training. Each has a total capacity of
3.7 million litres of water. Seating surrounds the competition pool.
The
front row seats are as close as 10 m from the pool, giving spectators a
spectacular view of all the action. A unique water
filtration
system has been incorporated into the stadium that will reduce the use
of chemicals by 25%. Temperature wise, the water will be kept between
25
and 28 degrees C as advised by aquatic sport’s global governing body
FINA.
As with the
Future Arena, the Aquatic
Stadium will be dismantled and reused since the Games have been
completed.
Its parts will be used in the construction of two aquatics centres. One
will feature a 50 metre covered pool with capacity for 6,000 people.
The
other will also feature a 50 metre pool with a total capacity of 3,000.
