(Atlanta, USA) - At the Georgia Tech Aquatic center in Atlanta, the 2007 USA Short Course Championship has started this past Thursday... 3 new US yard records were set... On the Day-1 Ryan Lochte  took down the first in the 200-yard IM, beating Michael Phelps to the wall with a time of 1:40.08... Natalie Coughlin set the new mark in 50-y free in 21.46. Day-2, Club Wolverine (Michigan) set the American and U.S.Open record in the 800-y free relay. The team of Michael Phelps, Peter Vanderkaay, Davis Tarwater and Chris DeJong finished with a time of 6:12.43, more than 5 seconds faster than the previous American record. Randall and Alshammar get the World Cup...(Report)

(Belo Horizonte, BRA) -- After the final 7th leg of the Fina/Arena World Cup held in Brazil, Randall Bal (USA) and Therese Alshammar (SWE) are the winners of the 2007  World Cup,  (the event organized in the seven cities, five continents from October 19 to November 25). Bal was the most gold medal winner of the competition, with 21 titles while among women,  Alshammar finished first with 160 points, following her first places in Moscow, Stockholm and Belo Horizonte. (Sidney, AUS) - Leisel Jones, the Australian pearl, was the brightest star at the 3rd leg of the 2007 FINA/ARENA Swimming World Cup held on Nov. 2-3 in Sydney, by establishing two new CRs in the women’s 50 and 100 m breaststroke (30.03 and 1:04.37). Amongst the men, Randall Bal, was again named as the ‘most valuable swimmer’ of the meet, with his 23.42 in the 50m back.  Provisional top swimmers after 3rd stop: Randall Bal (USA)-75 pts and Natalie Coughlin (USA)-70 pts. (Modena, ITA) - The  traditional 34th edition of the City of Modena Meeting (ex Trofeo Ghirlandina) is concluded successfully this past week-end by the famous Dogali pool in Modena.. Special report & presentation on this LEN event,  one of the oldest in Europe that gathered 36 clubs with more then 600 competitors including Italian  stars: Filippi, Terrin, Magnini and others, have a top stand and are  available at our web portal...
