the proud of all athletes of our Swim Star 2000 Swimming Club, Belgrade
as well as of all young swimmers of Serbia & Montenegro, the exclusive
interview has been arranged with the best girl of U.S. Swimming, the World
Champion and the Athens 2004 Olympic finalist -
Katie Hoff at the
beginning of January. This is my personal New Year the best wishes
to all Swim Star 2000 Fans in Serbia...

To the proud of our Club and our swimmers, but previously as a grant for
the enormous efforts been inlayed all those years behind in the popularization
of the swimming in Belgrade and Yugolsavia, the Swim Star Agency, Belgrade
has got an exclusive interview with the Best World Women's Swimmer... Named
as a best girl swimmer of the U.S. in 2005, US record Holder, Athens 2004
finalist, World Champion of the Montreal 2005 and the winner of many
gold medals at the main domestic and the World evets in last two years...

Na ponos naseg kluba i svih nasih plivaca, a pre svega kao nagrada za mnogo
energije ulozene svih proteklih godina na popularizaciji plivackog sporta
u Beogradu i zajednici Srbije i Crne Gore, kao i nasem okruzenju, Swim
Star Agencija je dobala ekskluzivni intervju od trenutno najvece svetske
plivacke zvezde... Proglasena najboljom plivacicom Sjedinjenih Americkih
Drzava za 2005 god., Americka rekorderka, finalista Olimpijskih igara u
Atini 2004, dva puta Svetska sampionka prvenstvu u Montrealu 2005.god....

nakon Montreala i tvojih velikih uspeha, zamolili smo te za jedan intervju

Katie: “Da, tada sam rekla da bih volela da to napravimo... i
da bih bila sretna da posaljem neke odgovore i moju sliku u Beograd." |

2000: Well, really many questions and answers in your talks to your
fans had helped us to introduce you better. However, in spite of the fact
that our swimmers are in SE Europe in Serbia from the distance of more
then 13,000 miles they know almost all about you. What’s more – your successes
and especially your age are the motifs firstly to the younger category
swimmers just to practice in the very poor conditions, as well as to get
better every day... |

2000: Pa, zaista mnogo pitanja i odgovora u tvojim razgovorima
sa obozavaocima, pomoglo nam je da te bolje upoznamo. Medjutim, uprkos
cinjenici da su nasi plivaci zive u Jugo-istocnoj Evropi, u Srbiji, na
udaljenju vecem od 13,000 milja, oni gotovo sve znaju o tebi. Cak sta vise
- tvoji uspesi, a posebno tvoje godine su jaki motivi pre svega mladim
plivacima da vredno treniraju u dosta skromnim uslovima i budu bolji iz
dana u dan... |

eclosing an autographed picture of myself for the swimmers at Swim Star
2000 in Belgrade. The photo was taken after I won the 200 meter individual
medley at the World Championships in Montereal, Canada past summer" |

Katie: “Hvala ti Igore. To zaista cenim. Zato saljem jednu potpisanu
fotografiju svim plivacima Swim Star 200 u Beogradu. Fotografija je napravljena
neposredno posto sam osvojila zlatnu medalju u disciplini 200 mesovito
na Svetskom prvenstvu u Montrealu (Kanada) proslog leta." |

2000: Considering the fact that you are 17 years old, and because
of the interest of our athletes, please describe us your first swimming
steps. When and where was it? And how did you feel it? |

2000: Imajuci na umu tvoje godine, a pre svega zbog znatizelje
nasih sportista, molim te priblizi nam tvoj prvi trening na pocetku bavljenja
takmicarskim plivanjem. Kad je i gde to bilo? I kako si se tada osecala? |

Katie: "I was 5 years old when I had my first experience swimming
on a summer swim team in my neighborhood in Williamsburg, Virginia. I joined
the team in order to be with my friend. At that age, I was not very competitive.
I was more interested in collecting a ribbon of every color, than in winning
races. They gave the swimmers a different color ribbon for each of the
first 8 places." |

Katie: “Moje prvo iskustvo u plivanju imala sam sa svojih 5 godina
kada sam ucestvovala sa svojim timom na mitingu u svom susedstvu u gradu
Wiliamsburg u Virdziniji. Usla sam u tim samo zbog prijateljstva. U to
doba nisam bila neki takmicar. Mnogo me je vise interesovalo 'sakupljanje
raznobojnih traka', nego da pobedjujem u trkama. Za osvajanje nekog od
prvih 8 mesta organizator je delio razlicite sarene trake." |

2000: Who anticipated that you might get among the world
swimming elite? Also, when did you feel that first? |

2000: Ko je prvi shvatio da bi ti mogla da doguras i do svetskog
vrha. Takodje, kada si ti to prvi put osetila? |

Katie: "Winning gold medals at the World Championships was the
culmination of years of consistent daily training and work toward achieving
my goals. My goals started small and got bigger over time, until I was
able to see myself winning in Montreal. I was also fortunate enough to
have great coaches and a supportative family." |

|
Katie: “Osvajanje zlatne medalje na Svetskom prvenstvu u Montrealu
bila je kulminacija dugogodisnjih svakodnevnih treninga i rada sa ciljem
ostvarenja sopstvenih ciljeva. Na pocetku moji ciljevi su bili skromni
i uvecavali su se tokom vremena, dok nisam spoznala da mogu da i da pobedim
u Montrealu. Imala sam i dovoljno srece da radim sa najvecim trenerima,
a imala sam i ogromnu podrsku moje porodice." |

2000: Your words that you will admit some college told us that
you think the education is essential anticipation in lives of young athletes
besides swimming. That should be listened from many ears. What would you
like to study in college? |

2000: Tvoje reci da ces se upisati na koledz, govore nam da ti
smatras da je obrazovanje takodje bitna stvar za mladog sportistu pored
plivanja. To bi mnogi morali da cuju. Sta bi volela da studiras kad se
upises na fakultet? |

Katie: "I would like to study journalism in college and pursue
a career in that field once I have finished my swimming career." |

Katie: “Zelela bih da studiram novinarstvo na koledzu i dalje
nastavim svoju karijeru na tom polju kad jednom zavrsim svoju plivacku
karijeru." |

you use when talking to the media and your fans. So, one that would like

kad se obracas medijima ili fanovima... Onaj ko bi zeleo da te bolje upozna,

prema svima, to je najveca i sportska, ali i ljudska vrednost... Koliko
malo treba ovoj izuzetnoj sportskoj licnosti, rodjenoj 1989.god. da udje
medju 'Bogove'? U svim njenim daljim uspesima, u njenim daljim plivackim
angazmanima u Americi i sirom sveta, u svim nasim sportistima imace svoje
istinske navijace - iz daleke Srbije !!! |
