LEN INTERNATIONAL SWIMMING CONTEST OF THE
UNIVERSITY OF MAINZ SPORTS CLUB, Mainz, Germany 18th and 19th of May, 2002 |
- The competitions will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the German Swimming Federations. All foreign clubs whose national Swimming Federation is affiliated to the FINA have the right of entry.
- The outdoor swimming pool is 50m long and has eight lanes separated by wave-killer ropes. Wether protected start area.The depth of the water is 1,50m to 1,90m and its temperatur 26° C. Electronic timing.
- Foreign clubs are requested to indicate on the entries the name, first name, year of birth of each contestant as well as the most recent performances. If possible, please indicate by diskette WSV-Standard (Best) or e.mail Diskette entries will receive a 10 Euro discount.
- Final entry date: May 04. 2002 .
- The entry fee is 4 Euro per person and per event. Please enclose a voucher check with your entries. In competitions 7,8,23 and 24, the entry fee will be increased to 7 Euro. When qualifying times are reached 3 Euro will be reimbursed after the swimm meet. There will be a charge of 8 Euro per relay race (competitions 9 and 10).
- Prizes: The winner of the SPEEDO-Cup will receive 500 Euro. The teams with the second place will receive 200 Euro and the third place team receives 150 Euro. Money prizes will be rewarded to the best single performances with the most points ( male and female), the competitors receiving the most points for each competition per age group will receive a gift.
- The results of each event will be evaluated separately for each group of swimmwers born in the same year. The age group 83 and older will be scored together and the age groups 84/85 will be scored together. The first six swimmers of each age group will receive certificatians. The first three swimmers of each age group will receive medals for each event( achieving time limits). the races 1,4, 23 and 24 do not allow the age groups 91 and 92 to compete, and the race 7,8,14 and 17 do not allow the age group 92 to take part. To determine the winner of the Speedo cup, the first six of each age group and event will be granted points (exept relay) in the following manner. 10,6,4,3,2,1 provided, that the pertinent time limits are not exceeded. The cup becomes permenent property of the team which wins it three times in a row or five times with interuptions. The second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth team will receive a special price.
- The races are placed not according to age groups, but to indicated times
- Depending on the number of entries, it might be necessary to alter the starting times for the beginning of the events.
- The swim meet will be held according to the start regulations.
