swimming publication has appeared these days, written by Prof.Dr.Tomislav
Okicic and the colleagues from Faculty of Sport, University of Nis. "The
affects of the different educational programs of non-swimmers on the swim
knowledge acceptance" - a design-project that can be useful for every
club and its beginners. It is written in the Serbian Cyrillic only (300
copies pressed) but it can be transferred in Latin, also translated upon

SRB) - This past week-end, the Belgrade has hosted the Int'l Youth Talents
Meeting "Dzivdzan 2008". More the 430 youth athletes born in 1992
and younger (34 teams) from Slovenia (1), Bosnia & Herzegovina (1),
Bulgaria (1), FYROM (5) and Serbia (26), took part in 2-day events. Place

the worth International Meeting "Feniks 2008" held in Sombor,Serbia.
About 300 competitors from Bulgaria, Hungary, Croatia and Serbia (21 clubs)

8th, while two 10th positions have been caught by Najdanovski in 50 Free

earned... In the 50 fly, Milorad Cavic ranked 3rd (22.70) while
Ivan Lendjer 13th (23.50). In this event France's Amaury Leveaux,
FRA set the new WR (22.18). In the men's 200 free Siljevski swam
out as 6th (NR) and assured the place directly for the final. M.Najdanovski
equaled her NR in 50 free W, while M.Ostojic set the new one in 200

Mike Cavic, the best Serbian swimmer ever, the silver medalist from
the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, succeeded to pick up a Gold medal in the

record and 2nd best time ever in the world). Ivan Ledjer (1990)
was ranked 6th in 100 fly with the time of 0:50.47 (the new National Junior

hosted the multination junior meet this past week-end.. The Central European
Countries Junior Meeting 2008 gathered the national selections of POL,

were caught by Stefan Sorak in 400 free (4:04.80) and in 1,500 free

of the European Junior Swimming Championships was held in Belgrade, SRB
by the popular Tasmjadan pool (Jul. 30 - Aug.03)... 40 European countries
with about 600 athletes took part in 5-day event.
The SWIM

Leeds aquatic center for a small preparations. The John Charles Centre
in Leeds was opened in 2007. This great swim facility has two submersible
booms built into the main pool that enable the pool to be divided into
three pools of different sizes and depths, allowing a flexible daily swimming

SRB) - After he earned the worthy Bachelor degree in the USA (Olivet College,
MI) on May 2008, Igor Rasula, Journalist and the Editor-in-Chief
of our SWIM STAR WEB PORTAL, left Belgrade this afternoon for his
upcoming Masters education.. Full granted by the European Council and the
EU, Igor is admitted for the Erasmus
Mundus Masters Program in Journalism and Media within Globalization.
First semester will be spent at the elite Danish School of Journalism,
next one at the University of Amsterdam, while for the second year Igor
will be at the University of Wales (Great Britain). Master thesis which
Igor already has chosen will consider "War and Conflicts"... More great

In the Men's 100 m Fly final Milorad
Mike Cavic (1984), touched 2nd with the time of 50.59 in
just 1/100 seconds behind M.Phelps to earn silver Olympic Medal. This was
also his LBT, European Record and the National record. Phelps and
Cavic battled it out in the last 50m. After two wins in Beijing against
the best world flyers (in heats and SF) Cavic in 100 Fly final "granted"
Phelps with 0.01 seconds. Eight consecutive years at the World and
European events and three times at the Olympic Games (Sidney 2000, Athens
2004 and Beijing 2008) ), this guy from the USA brings only the glory for

events in the Water Cube NAC brought many happiness to Serbian swim fans.
In the Men's 100 m Fly semi finals Milorad
Mike Cavic (1984) again confirmed the first world position in this
discipline. Among the 16 athletes in two SFs, this morning in the Beijing's
National Aquatic Center, he swam out with the top time (50.76), followed
again by Phelps (USA), Luterstein (AUS), Crocker (USA) and other
butterfly's stars. Miroslava Najdanovski canceled 50 Free heats...

the Montenegro Coast BAR 2008 Marathon concluded successfully on
August 09. At the traditional distance of 5 KM - the final rank is as follows:
