of the Olympic tournament, in the evening swimming session, another one
new world standard is set. In the women's 200 back, Missy Franklin
(USA) touched the wall first with the time of 2:04.06 WR.
In the men's 100 fly Michael Phelps (USA) confirmed his Olympic
title from Beijing, touching 1st in 51.21. In the women's 800 free new
Olympic champion is Katie Ledecky (USA) in 8:14.63 (new AM
rec),
while in the men's 50 free Florent Manaudou (FRA) ranked first
earning
gold medal in 21.34... |

succeeded

the women's 4x100 Medley Relay, team of Australia set the top

in 3:55.42. In the men's 4x100 Medley Relay, team of USA placed

seen. Chad Le Clos (RSA) is crowned with the gold Olympic medal
in the men's 200 m fly (1:52.96 new Rec of Africa) in front of Michael

the 8th position, which provides him the place in the world final. Congratulations

Jukic
ranked
first in 1:54.79. In the women's 200 IM, Shiwen Ye (CHN)

breaking
his and the national standard succedded to touch the wall as first with
the time of 1:54.99. That was overall the 3rd qualified time (of 37
athletes
who took part in this discipline) for the evening semi finals (in front
of Chand le Clos RSA - 1:55.23 and Michael Phelps USA - 1:55.53.. Two
better
times were set by Dinko Jukic AUT (1:54.79) and Tyler Clary (1:54.96) |

32nd of 40 swimmers in the men's 200 free (1:51.40). Men's 4x100
free
relay succeeded to jump just to the 13th position of 15 teams
participants

DAY-1
- Siladji and Markovic missed to catch their Semi Finals...

GBR) - Since the spectacular
Opening ceremony has been concluded on Saturday (early in the morning),
Day-1 events at the Swimming competition started the same day due to
the
exact timetable. One new Olympic record has been set by Dana Vollmer
(USA) in the women's 100 fly (56.25). Michael Phelps as 8th in the
men's
400 IM succeeded to get into his first SFs. From others, not so worth
swimming
could be seen at the beginning. |

Two Serbian swimmers started today in the morning qualifications.
Unfortunately
none of both athletes succeed to catch the semi finals. |
| In the men's
400 freestyle, Djordje
Markovic went poor and was ranked 22nd of 28 athletes in the
time
of 3:55.35. In this event, Olympic champion Taehwan Park (KOR) has been
disqualified. |
| Caba
Siladji, in the men's 100 breast swum out worthy, in the heat 2
(lane 6) he was placed 2nd, however he also missed to catch the
semifinals.
Out of the SFs stayed also Dugonjic (SLO), Pesce (ITA), Samilidis
(GRE),
Sludnov (RUS), Almeida (BRA), Polyakov (KAZ) and other world stars. In
this event Siladji ranked 31st overall of 44 athletes with the time of

start lists of all disciplines... New data engine is little bit strange
for the site visitors, however, widely open and accaptable for

from many sides. All swimmers and their entered times as well as the

Swim Team is completed - SRB flag is on the mast...

All Serbian participants
are in the Olympic village and the swimming team is completed. Milorad
Cavic, World Champion (Rome 2009), Olympic medalist (Beijing 2008)
and still actual European record holder, with his coach Mike Bottom
arrived
from the Spain, where he spent last week in the final preparation for
the
Olympiad. Yesterday in the Olympic village Serbian sports delegation,
leaded
by Vlade Divac, President of the National Olympic Committee
arranged
the ceremony of the lifting up the national flag. The interests for the
events from the Capital of Great Britain are enormously risen in the
domestic
media. Some of the articles from Thursday could be seen in the next
collection

The
Schedule
of the Serbian Swim Team's starts...
| (London, GBR) -
Mid day on Tuesday,
the Serbian Team has arrived Stansted airport, and settled down at the
Olympic Village in London. First training at the Aquatics center was
concluded
successfully. The health report is O.K. Everybody can express their
fillings
about the water, pool, blocks and all other facilities in the
competition
venue. Until the next news, here bellow the full schedule of the starts
(qualification races) of the Serbian participants can be seen. The
first
day of the swimming events is July 28. The fist appearances at the
"front
line" will be done by Djordje Markovic in the men's 400 free and Caba
Siladji
in the men's 100 breast... You can follow up also other disciplines and
competition days for all other SRB swimmers. |

Part
of
the SRB Swim team in Belgrade, prior to the departure for London...
| (Belgrade, SRB) -
Early in the morning,
together with the main part of the complete Serbian Olympic team, the
part
of the Serbian Swimming Team left Belgrade on the way to the London
2012.
At the charm press conference that has been arranged at the airport
"Nikola
Tesla", Nadja Higl, World champion (Rome 2009), Dejan
Pejinovic,
Head Coach of the national selection and Radovan Siljevski used
to explain the wishes of all swimmers as well as the good atmosphere
among
the members of the SRB swim squad. Other swimmers (Cavic, Stjepanovic,
together with their coaches C.Thiday and M.Bottom) will join the team
in
the Olympic village the next days... Best
wishes
to the SRB Team from all swim fans in Serbia and all over the world !!!! |

London, the National Olympic Committee of Serbia together with

Nikolic. Expressing his good wishes to all athletes as well as the
hopes of the nation for the medals and top world positions in 15
disciplines,
President Nikolic has consigned the national flag for Novak Djokovic,
who
is going to lead the SRB delegation at the Opening ceremony. |
