(London, GBR) - Within the Day-7 of the Olympic tournament, in the evening swimming session, another one new world standard is set. In the women's 200 back, Missy Franklin (USA) touched the wall first with the time of 2:04.06 WR. In the men's 100 fly Michael Phelps (USA) confirmed his Olympic title from Beijing, touching 1st in 51.21. In the women's 800 free new Olympic champion is Katie Ledecky (USA) in 8:14.63 (new AM rec), while in the men's 50 free Florent Manaudou (FRA) ranked first earning gold medal in 21.34...

In the men's 100 fly final Milorad Cavic, Serbian best swimmer succeeded to catch the 4th position (equally with Steffen Deibler, GER) with the time of 51.81... Congratulations !!!

In the women's 50 free Ranomi Kromowidjojo (NED) swum out the best time in 24.51. In the men's 1500 free top pisitioned was Yang Sun (CHN) -14:43.25 in front of Oussama Mellouli (TUN) - 14:46.23 and  Ryan Cochrane (CAN) - 14:49.31... In the women's 4x100 Medley Relay, team of Australia set the top time in 3:55.42. In the men's 4x100 Medley Relay, team of USA placed 1st with the time of 3:32.65...

In the women's 50 freestyle, Serbian record holder and two times Olympian Miroslava Najdanovski, from the Neat 6 (lane 7) did not succeed to catch the SFs. She was placed 42nd of 73 participants with the time of 26.46.

DAY-6 - Cavic confirmed the position in the 100 butterfly final...

(London, GBR) - Within the Day-6 of the Olympic tournament, in the evening session, new world and the Olympic standards were set. Rebecca Soni (USA) in the women's 200 breast final ranked 1st and became the Olympic champion with the time of 2:19.59 WR... Ranked 3rd Iuliia Efimova (RUS) set the EU rec 2:20.92. In the men's 200 back final, Tyler Clary (USA) set the new OR in 1:53.41.. In the women's 100 free final, new Olympic champion became Ranomi Kromowidjojo (NED) who set the new OR in 53.00. In the men's 200 IM final, Michael Phelps (USA) ranked 1st in 1:54.27 in front of Ryan Lochte (USA) - 1:54.90 and Laszlo Cseh (HUN) -1:56.22.

In the men's 100 fly semi finals, from the Heat 2 (lane 3) ranked 3rd in this group (4th overall), Milorad Cavic the best Serbian swimmer ever, swum out again marvelous race and earned the position for the tomorrow's 100 fly final with the time of 51.66.

In the men's 50 free, top position for the evening SFs is caught by Richard Bovel (TRI) in 21.77. In the women's 800 free Rebecca Adlington (GBR) swum out as 1st in 8:21.78. In the men's 100 fly Chad Le Clos (RSA) was the best in 51.54. In the women's 200 back Missy Franklin (USA) ranked first (of 37 participants) in 2:07.54...

In the men's 100 fly, two Serbian stars took part in the qualifications. Ivan Lendjer, from the Heat 5 (lane 1) ranked 5th in the heat (18th overall) with the time of 52.40. From the Heat 6 (lane 5), Milorad Cavic swum out marvelous race and was finally ranked 5th (of 43 participants) with the time of 51.90.

(London, GBR) - Within the Day-5 morning qualifications five disciplines were in the program (W 100 free, M 200 back, W 200 breast, M 200 IM and W 4x200 free. In the women's 100 free ranked first was Yi Tang (CHN) in 53.28. In the men's 200 back touched first and second were the Americans Tyler Clary (1:56.24) and Ryan Lochte (1:56.36). In the women's 200 breast, Rebecca Soni USA (2:21.40). In the men's 200 Ind.Medlay, top positioned was Laszlo Cseh HUN (1:57.20) in front of Ryan Lochte USA (1:58.03)......

Miroslava Najdanovski Serbian record holder, unfortunately swum out her poor race in the women's 100 free and was ranked 35th (equally with the Megan Fonteno from Samoa) with the time of 57.45. In the women's 200 breast from the heat 4 (lane 2), Nadja Higl, didn't succeed to get into SFs as she was ranked 25th with the time of 2:28.38...

(London, GBR) - On the Day-4 within the London's evening semis and finals, more new Olympic records could be seen. Chad Le Clos (RSA) is crowned with the gold Olympic medal in the men's 200 m fly (1:52.96 new Rec of Africa) in front of Michael Phelps (USA). Olympic champions became also: in the women's 200 freestyle Allison Schmitt (USA) with the time of 1:53.61 (OR); Shiwen Ye (CHN) in the women's 200 m Ind.Medlay (2:07.57 OR).. USA men's relay in the 4x200 m freestyle relay (6:59.70)...

Velimir Stjepanovic Serbian record holder, this evening, from the lane 8, succeeded to get into Top 6 at the Olympic final of the men's 200 fly. Stjepanovic touched the wall as 6th with the time of 1:55.07 (just 7 hundreds of second shorten then in his yesterday's race in the qualification).

New Olympic champions became the next swimmers: Yanick Agnel (FRA) in the men's 200 free (1:43.14); in the women's 100 back Missy Franklin (USA) - new American record (58.33); in the men's 100 back, Matthew Grevers (USA) - new Olympic record 52.16 and  Ruta Meilutyte (LIT) in the women's 100 breast (1:05.47)...

Velimir Stjepanovic Serbian record holder, Youth Olympic medalist - Singapore 2010, European Junior Champion - Belgrade 2011, succeded to get into Olympic final. This evening, from the Semi Final group 2, Stjepanovic touched the wall as 4th with the time of 1:55.13. Overall, that time was enough for the 8th position, which provides him the place in the world final. Congratulations from all his Belgrade swimming fans !!!!

In the women's 200 free top time is set by Federica Pellegrini (ITA) - 1:57.16 in front of Schmitt and Frankilin (USA). In the men's 200 fly Austria's star Dinko Jukic ranked first in 1:54.79. In the women's 200 IM, Shiwen Ye (CHN) qualified for the SFs as first with the time of 2:08.90...

  From the Heat 3, Serbian record holder Velimir Stjepanovic breaking his and the national standard succedded to touch the wall as first with the time of 1:54.99. That was overall the 3rd qualified time (of 37 athletes who took part in this discipline) for the evening semi finals (in front of Chand le Clos RSA - 1:55.23 and Michael Phelps USA - 1:55.53.. Two better times were set by Dinko Jukic AUT (1:54.79) and Tyler Clary (1:54.96)

(London, GBR) - Within the Day-2 morning qualifications, marvelous swimming is continued. In the women's 100 backstroke Emily Seebohm AUS set the new Olympic Record (58.23), in the men's 100 backstroke top time is earned by Matthew Grevers, USA (52.92), in the men's 200 free Yang Sun CHN (1:46.24), Ruta Meilutyte, LIT in women's 100 breaststroke (1:05.56),  in the women's 400 free Camille Muffat FRA (4:03.29), etc...

  Two disciplines were 'dedicated' to the members of the Serbian swim squad: the men's 200 freestyle for Radovan Siljevski and 4x100 freestyle for Cavic, Stjepanovic, Lendjer and Siljevski.
Radovan Siljevski ranked 32nd of 40 swimmers in the men's 200 free (1:51.40). Men's 4x100 free relay succeeded to jump just to the 13th position of 15 teams participants (Cavic, Stjepanovic, Lendjer and Siljevski) with the time of 3:18.79. Click the next link for the full Day-2 Official Results.

DAY-1 - Siladji and Markovic missed to catch their Semi Finals...

(London, GBR) - Since the spectacular Opening ceremony has been concluded on Saturday (early in the morning), Day-1 events at the Swimming competition started the same day due to the exact timetable. One new Olympic record has been set by Dana Vollmer (USA) in the women's 100 fly (56.25). Michael Phelps as 8th in the men's 400 IM succeeded to get into his first SFs. From others, not so worth swimming could be seen at the beginning.

  Two Serbian swimmers started today in the morning qualifications. Unfortunately none of both athletes succeed to catch the semi finals. 
In the men's 400 freestyle, Djordje Markovic went poor and was ranked 22nd of 28 athletes in the time of 3:55.35. In this event, Olympic champion Taehwan Park (KOR) has been disqualified. 
Caba Siladji, in the men's 100 breast swum out worthy, in the heat 2 (lane 6) he was placed 2nd, however he also missed to catch the semifinals. Out of the SFs stayed also Dugonjic (SLO), Pesce (ITA), Samilidis (GRE), Sludnov (RUS), Almeida (BRA), Polyakov (KAZ) and other world stars. Start Lists of the Swimming events are now available...

(London, GBR) - The organizer of the swimming events at the London Olympic Games, announced today the full start lists of all disciplines... New data engine is little bit strange for the site visitors, however, widely open and accaptable for searching from many sides. All swimmers and their entered times as well as the achievements could be followed by the events, day or names and teams... The exact time of all heats, semi finals and finals can be found, too...

On the Day-1, from the Serbian Swimming Squad, two swimmers are going to break the ice within the London Aquatics Center.... Djordje Markovic will start in the Heat 2 (lane 8) in the men's 400 free (entered time 3:52.58) and Caba Siladji in the Heat 2 (lane 6) in the men's 100 breast (1:01.59). Serbian Swim Team is completed - SRB flag is on the mast...
(London, GBR) - All Serbian participants are in the Olympic village and the swimming team is completed. Milorad Cavic, World Champion (Rome 2009), Olympic medalist (Beijing 2008) and still actual European record holder, with his coach Mike Bottom arrived from the Spain, where he spent last week in the final preparation for the Olympiad. Yesterday in the Olympic village Serbian sports delegation, leaded by Vlade Divac, President of the National Olympic Committee arranged the ceremony of the lifting up the national flag. The interests for the events from the Capital of Great Britain are enormously risen in the domestic media. Some of the articles from Thursday could be seen in the next collection (attached bellow)...

The Schedule of the Serbian Swim Team's starts...
(London, GBR) - Mid day on Tuesday, the Serbian Team has arrived Stansted airport, and settled down at the Olympic Village in London. First training at the Aquatics center was concluded successfully. The health report is O.K. Everybody can express their fillings about the water, pool, blocks and all other facilities in the competition venue. Until the next news, here bellow the full schedule of the starts (qualification races) of the Serbian participants can be seen. The first day of the swimming events is July 28. The fist appearances at the "front line" will be done by Djordje Markovic in the men's 400 free and Caba Siladji in the men's 100 breast... You can follow up also other disciplines and competition days for all other SRB swimmers.

Part of the SRB Swim team in Belgrade, prior to the departure for London...
(Belgrade, SRB) - Early in the morning, together with the main part of the complete Serbian Olympic team, the part of the Serbian Swimming Team left Belgrade on the way to the London 2012. At the charm press conference that has been arranged at the airport "Nikola Tesla", Nadja Higl, World champion (Rome 2009), Dejan Pejinovic, Head Coach of the national selection and Radovan Siljevski used to explain the wishes of all swimmers as well as the good atmosphere among the members of the SRB swim squad. Other swimmers (Cavic, Stjepanovic, together with their coaches C.Thiday and M.Bottom) will join the team in the Olympic village the next days... Best wishes to the SRB Team from all swim fans in Serbia and all over the world !!!!

Serbian NOC's Ceremony, day prior to start to London...

  (Belgrade, SRB) - The night prior to the departure of the Olympians to London, the National Olympic Committee of Serbia together with all athletes - participants of the Olympic Games visited the President of Serbia Mr.Tomislav Nikolic. Expressing his good wishes to all athletes as well as the hopes of the nation for the medals and top world positions in 15 disciplines, President Nikolic has consigned the national flag for Novak Djokovic, who is going to lead the SRB delegation at the Opening ceremony.

  Vlade Divac,President of the National Olympic Committee and Vanja Udovicic, Water Polo Captain, extend also the best wishes to all athletes, and promised that the Serbian Team will get back home with the 100th medal (all earned at the Olimpic Games)

The Serbin Swimming Selection for the London 2012...
  The final roster of the Serbian swimming team for the upcoming 30th Olympic Games - London 2012 that will be held in the Great Britain, City of London from July 28th to August 04 is allready prepared  for the beginnings of the swimming events.

  The national selection of Serbia for the Olympic Games will be consisted of the next participants:  Milorad Cavic (50 & 100 fly), Ivan Lendjer (50 & 100 fly), Nadja Higl (200 breast), Caba Siladji (100 breast), Miroslava Najdanovski (50 & 100 free), Velimir Stjepanovic (200 fly ), Djordje Markovic (400 free), Radovan Siljevski (200 free), The final roster of the relays is not known in this moment.
