of the international events and Portugal Championships were followed
by our portal and we were pleased to record Daniel's upraise. As one of
the potential candidate for Athens 2004, this worthy swimmer shows
that Portugal has a real National and European swim star... If Olympic
games this year should stay without this guy, considering his age (1983),

the Int'l meet "Maribor 2003" (SLO) is finished, we've got really sincere
swim mate. Ms. Pia Visocnik (1991), new Slovenian freestyle talent, one
of the best athlete of 'Branik' SC, Maribor and SLO Pioneer record holder
(in 1K5 Free 18:31.90 LCM)... This girl coached by Prof. Silvo Liposek
in this season also has won 2 worthy gold in 200 Free (2:17.26) and 400
Free (4:45.95) at the int'l 'Celje 2003' SCM meet. Mr. Danilo Salamon,
President and the officials of Branik SC don't have to worry for the future
of their perspective team...

and 400 Free (3:53.37), also LCM 400 Free (4:05.38), Igor continued
with his swimming development by the Crimson Tide Club upon the coaching
of Mr. Eric McIlquham. |

Sacha Djerfi, Head coach of Peterborough A.S.C. (COPS), England,
started swimming at the age of 10 at Dinamo SC, Pancevo, Vojvodina, Serbia.
At 16 he was a winner of the bronze at the YU National Champs in 100 and
200 m Breast. Since he completed his 2-year studies at the University of
Novi Sad, Vojvodina in 1989, Sasha started coaching athletes in Dynamo
swimming club up to YU National level (five swimmers swam to YU finals). |

Sacha moved to England in 1991 and had a short spell at Watford SC
before joining Luton in 1993. During his time at Luton SC he coached swimmers
to all the top levels of achievement, Midland District medallists, National
Championship medallists, Grand Prix Medallists, World Cup finalist, World
masters Gold medallist and a World Champion disabled swimmer. Sacha was
officially credited as swimming coach to Atlanta Olympians Carrie Willmott
(swimming) Greg Whyte (Modern Pentathlon). |

Joining Peterborough A.S.C. in September 1999 as Head coach, Sacha Djerfi
has been rewarded with a Junior British National Champion and Junior Scottish
National Champion. Also he has been selected as Bedfordshire County Coach,
1993 to 1997 and subsequently, Cambridgeshire County Coach 1999 to the
present. Sasha is a member of the National coaching staff of the British
Swimming, the ISTC (Institute of swimming teachers and coaches), American

Mr.
Wayne Goldsmith , one of the most honored swim expert in
Australia and worldwide. Since he completed his studies at the University
of Canberra in 1994, Wayne was appointed to drive the highly innovative
sports science - sports medicine program of Australian Swimming.
He has been invited to present his experiences at numerous Australian and
international conferences such as: Invited Guest Speaker World Swimming
Coaches Conference (USA), High Performance Workshops United Kingdom Sports
Institute and British Swimming (UK), Invited Guest Speaker Global Coach
Education Forum (USA), Invited Guest Speaker World Swimming Coaches Conference
(USA). Wayne has also been contracted to advise several leading international
sporting organizations on high performance sporting programs. His written
work (over 200 published articles in all) has been printed in over 20 countries
and in five languages.
Wayne lives in Canberra Australia with his wife Helen (also swim expert
and coach) and two children, Xenavee and Alex and is currently the High
Performance Manager of Triathlon Australia. We'd like to express our gratitude
to Mr. Goldsmith for enabling us to translate and present one of his best
article «Yes, you can» in our 'Education corner' designated
especially to our youngest competitors, also all other serbian swimmers.

| Mr.
Niccolo Pagliardini, (in the middle) , is one of the best
junior athlete of Chimera Nuoto Swimming Club from the town of Arezzo,
Italy. Since November 2002, when Mr. Sergio Filipovic, ex-coach of
our club and the member of 'Swim Star 2000' SC foundation, took this worthy
club and moved to Italy, really pleasant new sport and swim friendships
are already born. We would like to express our thanks to Niccolo
for all contacts in this month but also for preparing and enabling us the
latest
images of Chimera Nuoto SC all made at the traditional regional swimming
event of Toscana Region, held in 'Citta di Cortona'. Let us also
take this chance to invite Mr. Pagliardini, Mr. Vigiani, Mr. Gallo
and especially Mr. Aquaviva (all at the pict) and others from Arezzo to
be our guests in Belgrade at some of the next Int'l Meetings. Our homes
are wide opened.
And something personal: Congratulations,
you have got one of the best Yugoslav Swim Coach. Just listen him carefully,

| Mr.
Dragan Vasic, (mid in first row), great sport enthusiast
from the town of Loznica (Western Serbia) and our adored, last few years
has joined a group of Multi Sport Masters. All its activities are based
on cycling sport but also jogging, marathon, triathlon, paragliding, etc.
Beside Mr. Dragan Vasic, the group is consisted of: Dragan Matic,
Sasa Mavrak, Goran Mladenovic, Dragan Ignjatovic and others. As on
their serious plan to reach Hilandar Monastery (Greece) in the summer
of 2003, this year the group has organized a special cycling preparation
at the distance of 650 km from Loznica to Budva (Montenegro), open water
swimming at Vruci lake (Central Serbia), running up to the top of Durmitor
mountain (Veliki Medved 2300 m), paragliding by the Adriatic coast and
so on.
This holy sport's project
being realized on the way of about 1,000 km long (from Loznica to Hilandar
Monastery) will be sponsored also by our management. These few words
of thanks to our friend are in the same time our modest contribution to

Sevo, one of the best YU backstroker and National record holder
sent us some fantastic news from America. As a member of "Partizan" Swim
Team, Belgrade this worthy guy really did his best in swimming last five
years. His record in cadet concurrence in 200 m back is still actual. Also
in 200 m I.M. Considering all early circumstances here and the poor conditions
for the development, also his wish to reach some new sport knowledge Igor
Sevo chose to study sports management at Drury University, Springfield,
Missouri. Greetings from Igor bless us so much. Meet his successes in 2002
especially in USA NCAA Champs... |

Ivan Zuber, Yugoslav and Montenegro live swim legend - one of the
greatest sport's person ever, whose name can be written with the
golden letters in the national swimming history. Now President of Jadran
SC, Herceg Novi and a man of the great respect. Both with Mr.Tripo Klisura,
Prof. Zuber recently earned the “Worthy sport's workman of Montenegro”,
prestige domestic acknowledgment that is established for the first time
this year. And, if it can be allowed we'll say, not only of Montenegro,
but also one of the worthiest in the world. |

from Miodrag Vasic and Milorad
Cavic the only two competitors who represented Yugoslavia at
the 6th FINA World Swim Championships 'Fukuoka 2001' in Japan. All
their activities, races and results were followed at this site on line,
and with a special respect. Especially the great successes of Mio
Vasic, YU open water swimming legend and a member of our Club, who succeeded
to get into the World Top 10 in Men's OWS - twice ranked 9th
in 10 km and 25 km. Special reports on the races of 5km,

km were prepared on the days of Fukuoka 2001 Championships. |

Tsanov, Bulgarian Swim expert, and our mate from Sofia (BUL) sent
us the special greeting from 8th LEN Masters Swimming Championships 2001
(Palma de Malorca Spain). Another greet we've also got from Mr. Anton
Mihaylov (BUL), the Winner of silver medal in 200 m Breast and bronze
in 100 m Breast and Mr. Valentin Kochanov ranked the third in 200 m Freestyle.

| Mrs.
Olivera Mladenovic, the President of our Club and Vice President
of Serbian Swimming Association spent two marvelous weeks in the Netherlands
on June 2001. Beside the personal humanitarian and medical activities
earlier planned, our President also took this moment to visit some
interesting sport places, swim structures and Dutch National Swimming Championships.
With the regard to the possibilities of opening some new international
swim cooperation, special activities were organized on behalf of the Presidency
of the Swimming Association of Serbia. The greatest thanks we have
to express especially to Mrs. Tanja Danon, our promoter and ‘well fairy’
in the Netherlands. |

Mike Cavic, Yugoslav record holder in Junior and Senior categories,
Double European Champion (Malta 2001 and Linz 2002). In his first turning
from California on January 2001, Mike assured us that the bright future
is in front of him. Fortunately, medals didn't change this great guy...
And all his efforts and contribution to YU National Team and our swim development,
we'll appreciate a lot. It's the same from the other swim enthusiasts in
this country, the born place of Mike's father. And something personal:

Mio Vasic former competitor of Vojvodina SC, Novi Sad and Red Star
SC, Belgrade, Yugoslavia, still actual National record holder in long distance
disciplines and the only YU swimmer at FINA World Open Water
Championships 2000 sent us special greetings from Honolulu, Hawaii. Our
respect we'd like to express also to Mr. Sretko Vasic (father and manager
of Miodrag Vasic) whose contribution in complete Miodrag's swim development
is really unmeasurable. Stephan Lecat, French marathon legend also greeted

Friends from Trento, San Benedetto Del Tronto, Padova, Riva Del
Garda, Rome and Trieste, really enabled us to spend about 15 marvelous
days prior to 32nd European Meet Trento 2000. Some of the events
from the March 2000 can be seen in a special "Trento 2000" presentation.
A great honor we've had in Rome at the official audience to Mr. Gianni
Storti, Secretary General of Italian Swimming Federation. Our friends from
Padova, Trieste and Pola (Croatia) really helped us stay in Trento full

Stanisavljevic one of the top YU swimmer ever in long distance
swimming and the National open water Champion, also our great fan and Australian
friend. After 12 years of the swimming experience and 5 years in
triathlon in former Yugoslavia he finished High school for swim trainers
at the University of Belgrade and moved to Wellington, New Zealand. For
about 8 years there, he rised many swim talents in Wellington. From January
2000 he moved to Melbourne, Australia. Meet his two best Aussi swimmers...

of his staying in Maroubra (Australia). His really fantastic gift on January

Benedetto Del Tronto is picturesque town at the Adriatic Coast
in central Italy and the famous tourist destination. Igor Rasula, our athlete
had a great honor to spend about 10 days at the Rari Nantes Ascoli Swim
Club camp. We'll never forget also the kindness and hospitality of
all swimmers, their parents, and the management of Nandi Ars Swim
Association and Mr. Mario Mazzarela, President. To remind ourselves
