(Doha, QAT) - On the last - Day-5 of the Doha 2014, more new records have arrived. Five new WRs: NED Relay in the W 4x50 free (1:34.24); Etiene Medeiros (BRA) in the W 50 back (25.67); Markus Diebler (GER) in the M 100 IM (50.66); Sarah Sjostrom (SWE) in the W 100 fly (54.61) and in the W 200 free (1:50.78). New CRs: Felipe Franca (BRA) in the M 50 breast (25.63); Chad Le Clos (RSA) in the M 200 fly (1:48.61); Gregorio Paltrinieri (ITA) in the M 1500 free (14.16.10).

In the morning heats two Serbs took part in the qualifications. Jovana Bogdanovic in the Women's 200 breast placed 27th of 42 athletes with the time of 2:26.92 (LBT). Velimir Stjepanovic, unfortunately missed to find himself in the the Men's 200 fly. He placed 21st of 53 swimmers with the time of 1:54.63 (entered with the 1:51.27). Vuk Celic in the M 1500 free placed 15th of 49 participants (14:48.10).

(Doha, QAT) - On the Day-4 of the Doha 2014 World Short Course Champs, brought more world marks. New World records: RUS Team in the M relay 4x50 free (1:22.60); Florent Manaudou (FRA) in the M 50 back (22.22); Katinka Hosszu (HUN) in the W 200 IM (2:01.86) and USA Team in the Mixed relay 4x50 free (1:28.57). 
New CRs were set by: Emily Seebohm (AUS) in the W 50 back (25.87); Alia Atkinson (JAM) in the W 100  breast (1:02.36 = WR); Chad Le Clos (RSA) in the M 50 fly (21.95); Sarah Sjostrom (SWE) in the W 100 fly SF (55.13) and Adam Peaty (GBR) in the M 50 breast SF (25.75)...

In the morning heats, Radovan Siljevski, within the M 100 free ranked 29th of 152 athletes with the time of 48.35; Miroslava Najdanovski in the W 50 free ranked 34th of 120 swimmers with the time of 25.41 (3:40.30). Boris Stojanovic in the M 100 IM, among 84 athletes placed 27th with the time of 54.26.

(Doha, QAT) - On the Day-3 of the Doha 2014 Champs, 5 new World Recs are set: In the Women's Relay 4x50 medley, Denmark team (1:44.04). Katinka Hosszu (HUN) in the W 200 back final took gold with the new WR (1:59.23), while in the W 100 IM also WR (56.70); In the M 50 free Florent Manaudou (FRA) set new WR in 20.20. The last WR tonight is set by NED Women's relay 4x100 free (3:26.53). Six new CRs are also swum: Femke Heemskerk (NED) in the W 100 free (51.37); Chad Le Clos (RSA) in the M 50 fly SF (22.20), Sarah Sjostrem (SWE) in the W 50 fly (25.58); Peter Bernek (HUN) in the M 400 free final (3:34.32), Ruta Meilutyte (LTU) in the W 100 breast S.Final (1:02.43) and Mireia Belmonte (ESP) in the W 400 free final (3:55.76)...

In the morning heats, Velimir Stjepanovic within the M400 free ranked 7th (3:40.30) earning a place in the evening finals. In the same discipline, Vuk Celic placed 30th (3:45.52). In the M 50 fly heats, Radovan Siljevski placed 28th (23.38), while Ivan Lendjer finished as 29th (23.45).. 
In the evening events, Velimir Stjepanovic in the M 400 free final concluded at the 3rd position winning the bornze medal in the time of 3:38.17 - NR. Congratulations!!

(Doha, QAT) - Day-2 of the FINA World SC Swim Champs Doha 2014, brought more three new WRs: Katinka Hosszu (HUN) in the W 100 back (55.03); Chad Le Clos (RSA) in the M 100 fly (48.44) and Brasil Relay in the M 4x50 medlay (1:30.51). Aslo 2 new CRs are set: Felipe Franca (BRA) in the M 100 breast (56.29) and Mireia Belmonte (ESP) in the W 800 free (8:03.41)...

In the morning program in the women's 100 free, Miroslava Najdanovski swum worthy race and among 112 athletes, dividing the 34th position with the Russia's swimmer Margarita Nesterova, finished with the time of 54.77 (entered with 54.66).
In the men's 50 free among 173 swimmers from all over the world, Boris Stojanovic swum his best race ever with the time of 21.86 (dividing the 25th position with the Luke Pendock, RSA). Qualified the 1st was Casar Cielo Filho (BRA) with 21.00.

(Doha, QAT) - Day-1 of the FINA World SC Swim Champs Doha 2014, brought three new World Records: Mireia Belmonte (ESP) in the W 400 IM (4:19.86) and W 200 fly (1:59.61) and NED Women's relay 4x200 free (7:32.85). Three new CRs were also set - Adam Peaty (GBR) in the M 100 breast (56.43) in Semi Finals, Ruta Meilutyte (LTU) in the W 50 breast (28.81) and FRA Men's relay 4x100 free (3:03.78).

(Doha, QAT) - Tomorrow (Wednesday, Dec. 03), the 12th edition of the Fina World SC Championships Doha 2014 will start. More then 1,100 swimmers from 171 countries are entered in the events. The FINA has finally issued the complete Start List Book (31.7 MB file) via the official time-keeper Omegatiming showing the starts in all 46 disciplines.

FINA Extraordinary Congress approved changes in swimming rules...

(Doha, QAT) - With the presence of delegates from 155 National Member Federations, including Ms.Milena Neskovic (Serbian Swimming Official), the FINA Extraordinary Congress took place today at the 3rd FINA World Aquatics Convention in Doha and approved, beside others, the following changes in the FINA Rules regarding the swimming events and activities:

In the Swimming:
new rules regarding early start and butterfly kick in the breaststroke events; 
electronic lap counters for the races of 800m and 1500m free may be used;
the possibility of using a backstroke ledge was also introduced; 
rules governing the World Junior Records in 50m and 25m-pool

In the Open Water Swimming
obligation to touch the touch pad, if available, at the finish of a race in order to validate the time and ranking

(Doha, QAT) - The 12th edition of the FINA World Swimming Short Course Championshoips is centered around the marvelous Hamad Aquatic Center in Doha Qatar, a unique complex which already hosted many world sport manifestations.

Hamad Aquatic Center has garnered recognition for its facilities and atmosphere. Built as part of the world renowned Aspire Zone multipurpose sporting facility, the complex was designed by Roger Tailibert who also designed the Parc des Princes Stadium in Paris, France and the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, Canada.

Opened in 2005, the facility hit the world stage as part of the Asian Games Doha 2006, Aquatics sports competition venue. Since then, other major Aquatics sports competitions have been held, such as: Asian Games Doha 2006, Doha Gymnasiade 2009 (Swimming), FINA Diving World Series, Arab Games Doha 2011 (Swimming) FINA Swim World Cup Doha 2012 and FINA World Cup Doha 2013 (SC events)...

The Serbin Swimming Team for the Doha 2014...
  The final roster of the Serbian swimming team for the upcoming Fina World SC Swimming Championships Doha 2014 that will be held in the capital of Qatar from Decembe r03 - 07 is allready prepared  for the champ's swimming events.

  The National Team of Serbia for the Doha 2014 will be consisted of the next participants:  Velimir Stjepanovic (member of the SC Partizan, Belgrade), Ivan Lendjer (SC Proleter, Zrenjanin), Vuk Celic (SC Partizan, Belgrade), Miroslava Najdanovski (SC Novi Sad, Novi SSad), Boris Stojanovic (SC Kikinda, Kikinda ), Radovan Siljevski (SC 11 April, Belgrade) and Jovana Bogdanovic (SC Sparta, Pancevo). The final roster of the relays is not known in this moment. Head of the national team : Prof.Dr. Milivoj Dopsaj. Go, Serbia !!!
